Economist: Emptying nest: Twitter

This week, Twitter have added a new feature in which attachments such as pictures and videos are not contributing to the 140 character limit set on Tweets, this is important as now you can write more without having to worry that 60 of the characters were taken up by the URL of the attachment. Twitter's tally of monthly users is around 320m users which is not increasing very slowly. In my opinion, this is a great move because I personally use Twitter on a daily basis and not worrying about attachments taking up character spaces, increases my ability to write on each post.
